These past few days have been STRESSFUL. Friday I had my "common exam" over our daily lectures, turned in a huge architecture project, and had a paper for my crime class due. Plus, Olympic swimming was on every night, so I didn't have as much time to work as usual. (I was not going to miss swimming!)
In fact, swimming probably outranked most of my other priorities...I skipped several dining hall dinners and grabbed falafel from a street vendor so I wouldn't miss a race. Saturday, I was not to be disturbed, unless you were watching the races with me. It was Phelps' last Olympic relay. His last Olympic race EVER (unless he pulls an MJ and comes back for Rio!)
I was screaming the whole race. I fell silent afterward. I cried during the medal ceremony. It was the end of an era, and there were so many feelings. I still can't fully believe it's over.
Outside of swimming, I have been reveling in doing NOTHING this weekend. No schoolwork, no travelling outside of Oxford, no running from one landmark to another. I did manage to go to sell some of my books and have high tea (complete with scones!) in the afternoon. It was the perfect break from cleaning/packing.
